Pissouri Residents Association

First Responders

First Responders

Volunteers from the village, trained in first aid, who can help in the minutes before an ambulance arrives.

Who We Are

Neighbours trained to help

The Pissouri First Responders are residents who have been trained in first aid and give their own time to help when someone in the village is taken ill or injured.

They do not replace the ambulance service. An ambulance is always called, and the responders are there to help in the minutes before it arrives — which in a village at the end of a long road can matter a great deal.

We are still putting this page together. How the service works, when responders are available and what they can help with will be added here shortly.

In an Emergency

Always call 112 first

For ambulance, fire or police, call 112. It is free and works from any phone.

Pissouri First Responders

Call 112 first, every time. The responder number is in addition to the emergency services, never instead of them.

What We Do

Could you be a responder?

You do not need any medical background. Full first aid training is given by United Rescue Cyprus, and you would be joining a small team of neighbours doing the same thing. If you would like to know more, get in touch and we will put you in contact with the responder team.
